Preparation of Detailed Technical Specifications for Setting up of Continuous real time Air Quality Monitoring Stations in 16 Cities.

Central Pollution Control Board (Ministry of Environment & forests, Govt. of India) has taken-up a project for setting up of Continues Real Time Air Quality Monitoring Stations in 16 cities for which Action Plan is being prepared by SPCBs / State Governments to Control Air Pollution as per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

In order to prepare the detailed technical specifications of the equipment / instruments Competent Authority of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) constituted Committee including outside experts from IIT, Delhi, NEERI, Nagpur. NPL New Delhi, CSIO, Chandigarh.

The Committee has drawn the detailed technical specifications of the following equipment / instruments after reviewing the work done by the earlier Committee of CPCB constitutes for the World Bank procurement and considering technological advancement in instrumentation / analyzers to have the reasonable good competition of suppliers:

 
1. CO Analyzer 8. Portable Calibration Unit
2. NOx Analyzer 9. Multi Calibration System for the station
3. SO2 Analyzer 10. Communication Software (Data logger, Computers, Printers, Modems, Intercom, Software, Telephones etc.)
4. O3 Analyzer 11. 2 ton capacity split Air Conditioner
5. BTX Analyzer 12. Three Phase 10 KVA UPS
6. PM Monitor (TSP, PM10, PM2.5) 13. Monitoring station (Sampling line, Internal fitting, Instruments racks, Electrical fittings, Gas line fitting, Tools (electrical and mechanical) etc.
7. Meteorological Stations 14. Day light & night visible data display system.
