MAJOR DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE BOARD
  • Board approved the emission standards for sulphuric acid plant
  • Environmental Standards for Coffee Industry
  • Board approved the proposed standards and code of practice for pollution prevention in sponge iron plants.
  • Board approved the setup of Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment Facilities in some Bihar and North Eastern States .
  • Board approved the Increase in Employee's Welfare Fund
  • Status report on Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment facilities in Delhi and Ghaziabad
  • Board approved the Draft National Emission Standards for Petrochemical Plants
  • Revised protocol under CREP for utilization of distillery effluent in Irrigation and Compost making.
  • Board approved the Project on “Determination of concentration of identified pollutants in the impact area through field study (sampling & analysis of groundwater and soil samples) around Bichhri Village (Rajasthan)
  • Board approved the Policy on use of high calorific value hazardous waste as fuel in cement kiln
  • Board approved the purchase of Monitoring Vehicles for Head Quarter and Zonal Offices
  • Techno commercial evaluation of the bids for the supply, installation, & commissioning of Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) and operation & maintenance of these CAAQMS at Delhi, Lucknow, Bangalore & Chennai under the project on “Private Participation in the Management of CAAQMS Network-Regarding
  • Board approved the draft standards for Sugar Industry
  • The Board approved the proposal for making Financial Assistance for North-Eastern SPCBs, PCCs and Hilly States through MoEF
  • Board approved the payment of SPCBs/PCCs on the basis of the data entered in EDB and the certificate to be submitted by the concerned SPCBs/PCCs.
  • Board approved the upgradation of two posts of Assistant Law Officer (ALO) to Law Officer.
  • Board approved the Transfer Policy of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and rotation of officials on ‘Sensitive Posts as per Guidelines of Central Vigilance Commission”.
